• Cleaning vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer

About the role

As a Workshop Controller for Arnold Clark, you’ll work with the Service Manager to deliver a high level of productivity and an excellent standard of first-time repairs, while making sure you always maintain a clean, safe and professional workshop.

This role would be ideal for an organised, quick-thinking person with previous motor industry experience, looking to develop their career and move into a management role. Day-to-day duties

• Managing and coaching a team of vehicle technicians and apprentices, making sure targets and business objectives are met
• Making sure all servicing work is carried out correctly, competently and on time, with customer satisfaction in mind
• Ensuring that all your working practices comply with company, DVSA, health and safety and manufacturer policies
• Working with colleagues and other departments to ensure a seamless service for customers
• Scheduling work to meet customer needs, taking into account workshop targets, the complexity of each job and the availability of parts
• Providing estimates for servicing and repairs and setting timescales
• Accurately recording technician time and writing technical reports and recommendations

About the role

The position of Sales Resources Coordinator is a key appointment and involves successfully implementing any new customer account, meeting timelines and budgetary requirements, coordinating and prioritising project tasks, maintaining project plans, establishing process, and communicating status to clients, project sponsors and senior management. Ultimately, it is to ensure each client’s account is established and implemented within contractual framework.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual who has experience of project management and who can professionally communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing. They must have the confidence to work closely with directors, senior managers and team members of clients, supply partners and the Activa team in a sensitive and consultative manner.

Day-to-day duties

• Provide support to the Sales team to meet the objectives.

What’s the job?

GTG has over 50 years’ experience delivering driver training. As an LGV Instructor, you’ll be working at our industry-leading centres, training students to DVSA test standard, carrying out practical driving assessments and dealing with course paperwork to rigorous standards.

You’ll be an experienced driver with at least a minimum Category C & E licence. A background in a training environment is also desirable but not essential. You’ll be joining our Instructor Training programme and be provided with two to four weeks of full instructor training depending on your experience. Day-to-day duties:

As an Automotive Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for training apprentices and commercial courses to the highest standards at GTG’s sector-leading training centres as they work towards industry-accredited qualifications.
