We’re looking for a Trainee Print Assistant to join our talented in-house Print Team within our Marketing department at Arnold Clark based at our Head Office in Glasgow.

With an over 100-strong Marketing team, we keep it all in-house. We have the latest state of the art digital printing and finishing equipment, producing high volume UK wide direct mail campaigns and various printed materials via our e commerce platform to support our branches and wider business – we do it all in this department.

The Trainee Print Assistant is a key role within the marketing department and is responsible for assisting with the operation of our internal print division and the production of all marketing print requirements.

As a Trainee Print Assistant, you will predominately focus on assisting the Marketing Print Specialists with the co-ordination of direct print campaigns and all department and business print work in line with business requirements. Ensuring items are dispatched to branches on time as well as overseeing the daily maintenance of our print room and storage areas are kept to a high standard. Full training will be provided.


When you’ll work

It’s a full-time position; generally, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm.


So, what will I be doing?

Working as part of our Marketing print team, you can expect:

  • You’ll be assisting the print team with the co-ordination and delivery of marketing print campaigns, including the production of department and business print work in line with business requirements
  • Assist the print team to ensure all print requirements are produced and delivered to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure all deliveries of materials and supplies for the department and our Head Office are dealt with in a quick and effective manner and stored in accordance with the print room guidelines
  • Managing the daily outgoing mail and incoming deliveries for our Head Office departments
  • Safeguard customer data at all times ensuring the secure use, safe handling and disposal of confidential information in line with data protection legislation
  • Maintain a clean, safe and tidy print environment and storage area at all times
  • Provide the up keep, maintenance and cleaning of the print room environment and all printing equipment on a daily/weekly basis

  • The ability to work on your own initiative as well as having the right attitude to work closely with other departments to assist with any business requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively
  • You don’t want to stand still – you’ll be curious and keep up to date with the industry and ever evolving print landscape.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • You’ll bring a can-do attitude to work and don’t mind a challenge or two.
  • You take pride in your attention to detail and recognise the importance of this in everything you do.
  • A desire to continually learn, improve and develop your skills
