Hours
This is a full-time position: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm; alternative Saturdays, 8am – 12pm
About the role
As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels in our warehouse to keep up to date with current demand, identifying new products to stock, placing orders and liaising with suppliers while also overseeing the smooth operation of the warehouse.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. They will be comfortable working on their own initiative while also being able to work together as a team to achieve Group targets.
Day-to-day duties
- Carrying out daily supplier orders.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding returns.
- Maintaining receipts of incoming orders
- Creating internal branch special orders.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the busy parts warehouse.
- Ordering and maintaining tyre stock.
- Ensuring stock records are maintained accurately.
Essential skills
- A high level of accuracy and the ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of using Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
Nice to have but not essential…
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Experience of stock control
- Forklift experience
