Our Social Media team is moving forward, and we’d like you to join us in our journey. As social media platforms continue to evolve and present exciting new challenges, we’re looking for someone to strengthen our team and help us build a community around Arnold Clark through our social networks and social review sites.

This isn’t just about stats and logistics; our Community Manager will be at the heart of our brand’s online community. You will be the voice, tone and moderator of the Arnold Clark brand and will help to build personality and consumer trust, with an aim of increasing awareness and company performance. This is an incredibly unique role for someone who enjoys engaging with customers as well as providing excellent customer service both online and in person.

The ideal candidate

We’re looking for a good communicator; someone who is versatile, confident in their writing and able to interact with people online about different topics, from polarising subjects – such as EVs and climate change – to more common issues. Of course, we want to keep the discussion civil and in line with our anti-online bullying commitment.

We want you to understand the importance of trust and building a loyal audience in online communities. The role will require engaging audiences on a variety of outlets and responding to customer’s comments and enquiries in a timely manner. You will also need to be able to identify talking points, niche audiences and be motivated to grow and nurture the community, making our pages a safe place for everyone.

We'd like you to identify any recurring themes or topics on social media and report them back to the relevant departments, so we can continue to make improvements to the business.

This means you'll be working closely with other departments to make sure we're ahead the curve on social media, so you will need to be fully aware of any content which is being published on Arnold Clark's social media channels.

In summary, we want you to be part of our ‘main brand ambassador’ team and work on developing our community and bonding with them.

We’re looking for...

  • Experience of planning and leading community initiatives
  • The ability to stay up to date with digital technology trends
  • The ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to analyse and report on online customer reviews (Trustpilot, Google etc), using native platforms and/or management tools such as Reputation
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentations skills
  • Hands-on experience with social media management
  • The ability to interpret website traffic
  • Knowledge of online marketing
  • Attention to detail, a critical thinker and a problem solver

In return for your skills and commitment, you will enjoy some of the best employee benefits in the automotive industry, including private healthcare, life assurance, access to our health and wellbeing hub Space and generous employee discounts.

Employment with the Arnold Clark Group is offered subject to satisfactory references and disclosure checks.
