About the role
Working as part of an efficient team at our new Bodyshop, you’ll take great pride in restoring damaged vehicles to their former glory while following manufacturer guidelines. This position will be ideal for someone with a passion for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to the highest possible standard.
Day-to-day duties
- Following written instructions.
- Replacing and repairing damaged panels.
- Welding new panels into place.
- Stripping and rebuilding accident-damaged vehicles.
- Safely and correctly using a range of hand and power tools.
Essential skills
- Full experience in accident damage repair
- A high level of skill in panel beating.
- Ability to follow instructions effectively.

The below is the criteria to qualify for the performance bonus payment and the BPR criteria:
- You must be bodyshop productive staff or an apprentice in third or fourth year.
- On joining Arnold Clark, you must be signed up to BPR and work a contracted 44-hour week. You will be given details of this when you join.
- This bonus is accrued based on yearly performance, with each year’s pot being held until the end of year three.
- Time keeping and attendance – ensure you have no more than three instances of absence or lateness.
- Quality and customer complaints – ensure you do not have any issues recorded against you.
- Additional hours – you need to work 52 hours overtime in a six-month period. That equates to just two hours per week; and best of all, it’s paid at time and a half.
- Resigning or being dismissed before the end of any three-year period would result in no payment being made.
- Arnold Clark reserves the right to amend, change or cancel this performance scheme at any time.
