Full time: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8.30am – 6pm and Tuesday & Thursday 8.30am – 5.30pm
About the role
Our Head of Vehicle Appraisal will review and refine our existing processes while designing new operational solutions that align with our business objectives. You will play a central role in the development and enhancement of appraisal service products, ensuring we’re meeting the needs of our customers and the wider business.
As a people-focused leader, you will manage and inspire a team of managers and appraisers, guiding them to meet and exceed KPIs while maintaining a healthy balance between employee wellbeing, customer satisfaction and appraisal performance. You will mentor your team to create a high-performing, engaged and a customer-centric operational culture.
Willingness to travel as required, including occasional overnight stays.
Day-to-day duties
- Take full ownership of appraisal operations and branch service standards, ensuring best-in-class performance across all areas.
- Oversee the design and implementation of efficient processes and operating standards aligned to business strategy.
- Mentor, motivate, and develop your team to drive productivity, engagement, and a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with the executive team to help shape business strategy and future operating models.
- Ensure all operations comply with NAMA.
- Evaluate operational risk and appraisal quality programmes.
Essential skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels, including during periods of high pressure
- Proven experience in vehicle appraisal and field-based operational environments
- Highly proactive with strong planning, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
- Collaborative team player who supports and empowers others
- Calm and effective under pressure, with a consistent focus on quality in all outputs
- Experienced people manager with a track record of motivating, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align operational activity to broader commercial objectives
