Film Studio Lead
 
We’re looking for a self-motivated, proactive videographer to join Arnold Clark’s in-house film facility in Glasgow
 
Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm (37.5 hours, 5 days a week) Flexible working is available for this role.
 
About the role
The Film Studio Lead is a pivotal, exciting and challenging role within the company, involving a large variety of responsibilities and communication with key stakeholders.
Reporting directly to the Head of Video and Photography, you will manage our film studio team to produce engaging, award-winning content, challenging ideas and striving to continually improve our video offering.
 
Day-to-day duties
 
Leading and managing our in-house film studio and managing a team of video executives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Managing the filming process and directing the team, from organising the shoot to scripting, editing and final delivery.

  • Working with the Head of Video and Photography to drive the film studio strategy forward and keep ahead of our competitors.

  • Coordinating group video projects and our in-house studio car filming, quality measuring our work to key stakeholders.

  • Improving systems and processes, and developing new platforms as required.

  • Project-leading our new film studio in Kilbirnie Street, Glasgow.

  • Identifying issues and developing solutions.

  • Performance tracking, analysing company statistics and applying recommendations company-wide.

  • Training and developing the team to broaden their knowledge and skill sets.

  • Backing up storage of work on an ongoing basis and developing new solutions for storage.

Essential skills
  • Excellent communication skills and strong management experience.

  • Ability to lead the team while mentoring and coaching to improve skill set.

  • Effective time management to implement and execute projects successfully.

  • Must have a meticulous approach and be able to impart extensive video knowledge to the team.

  • Enthusiastic team player who works well with others.

  • Ability to take an analytical approach to our engagement KPIs.

  • Skilled in editing and grading of footage, preferably in Final Cut Pro X.

  • Extensive practical experience using film and audio equipment.

  • A passion for creative filming and the automotive marketplace.
