We are looking for a highly organised Customer Services Representative to join our Finance Team, which is based at our vibrant head office in Hillington, Glasgow.

Hours

Full time, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm, with one 11.30am – 8pm shift per week.

Rotational weekends (one in four): Saturday 9am – 5pm, Sunday 12pm – 5pm

Flexible working is also available with this role.

About the role

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be responsible for fully investigating customer complaints and liaising with finance companies and other third parties to ensure the right outcome is arrived at and communicated.

You’ll need to have a demonstrable passion for delivering great customer service, and previous experience in a similar, complaint-handling role in financial services.

Day-to-day duties

  • Handling customer finance complaints and ensuring these are investigated thoroughly.
  • Liaising with complainants, third parties and internal sources on the phone, online and in writing.
  • Producing detailed complaint reports and carefully considered recommendations.
  • Formally communicating complaint decisions to complainants and third parties in a clear and concise manner.
  • Managing your own workload and ensuring complaints are finalised within the strict timescales that have been set by the regulatory bodies.
  • Liaising with the Financial Ombudsman Service where applicable.
  • Maintaining detailed complaint records.

Essential skills

  • Previous experience in a complaint handling role within financial services.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements, including section 75 complaints.
  • A sound understanding of the Financial Services sales and advisory processes.
  • The ability to write clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure, manage your own workload and meet deadlines and targets.
