Full time: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm
About the role
As a Communications Assistant, you will support our Internal Communications team as they create engaging and compelling content across a range of communication methods. Along with this, you’ll play a part in supporting internal change projects and Group communications which are delivered to 11,500 employees. This will also include supporting wider campaigns across both the Communications and Marketing departments.
You will help with the execution of content planners for the Internal Communications team, promoting the Arnold Clark values and ensuring our employees have the information needed to confidently perform in their roles.
Day-to-day duties
- Supporting the Internal Communications team in a range of communication and engagement activities.
- Supporting the Internal Communications team with creating briefs, article creation, script writing, editing, and additional tasks as required.
- Working with our Web and Design team to create digital and graphic assets that create impact.
- Managing content calendars.
- Assisting with reports that determine future strategies.
- Measuring the effectiveness of initiatives using analytical tools.
- Supporting the wider Communications department as we work towards common goals.
Essential skills and experience
- A natural-born people person with the ability to listen, understand and translate employee-led stories into written and video interview styles
- Attention to detail to ensure high standards are kept at all times
- A team player who is happy to support colleagues throughout the business
- A lover of organisation with the ability to adapt to suit business needs
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise work to suit overall business needs
- Confidence working with and meeting new people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have but not essential
- Prior experience of creating content for newsfeeds
- Experience with email marketing systems would be beneficial
