About the role

This is a great opportunity to join an enterprise Business Intelligence team, building robust reporting solutions using the latest Microsoft technologies. You’ll be developing the company’s data warehouse, building Tabular Models, and delivering essential Power BI reports for the business.

The role offers the opportunity to work with complex data sets across various parts of the business and will require strong SQL skills, experience in building data models and reports, and working with business users and developers.

Day-to-day duties

  • Developing and maintaining the data warehouse using the SQL Server.
  • Creating and maintaining data models using Kimball methodologies.
  • Creating engaging, insightful reports through Power BI and SSRS.
  • Performance tuning and query optimisation.
  • Working closely with internal developers to provide database support.
  • Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
  • Working closely with stakeholders during the development process.


Essential skills

  • Excellent T-SQL knowledge
  • Strong skills in transforming data for analytical querying
  • Experience of data modelling and database design
  • Expert knowledge of best practices for data modelling
  • Experience building Tabular models
  • Excellent DAX knowledge
  • Previous experience of interactive report building using Power BI and SSRS
  • Working knowledge of SSIS
  • Minimum 5 years’ BI experience
  • Great communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders
  • Ability to work well as part of a team

Desirable skills

  • Experience in using Modern Microsoft BI Tools (Azure)
  • Knowledge of Azure Data factory
  • Experience of Azure Synapse
  • Experience in Data Lake
